FRANKFORT, Ky. -- The weekend of Oct. 12 will be a good weekend for cycling in central and southeastern Kentucky. Cyclists can choose between the popular Thriller Ride in London and the new Sadie “Hill” Bike Tour in Scott County.
Presented by the Cumberland Valley Cycling Club, the 2013 Thriller Ride in London offers three route options: a 12.5-mile route, the 44-mile “Zombie” route and the 62-mile “Thriller” route. The Thriller and Zombie routes will have rest stops and take riders through Laurel, Jackson and Clay counties.
Registration is available online through active.com, and on-site registration will begin Saturday morning at 8 a.m. All rides will leave from the Farmer’s Market in downtown London. The community of Sadieville in northern Scott County is preparing to bring riders the 2nd annual Sadie “Hill” Bike Tour. The Sadie “Hill” Bike Tour also offers multiple route options of 22, 37, 60 and 100 miles. All rides highlight the scenic landscapes of the northern Bluegrass Region.
